A dedicated cable line can be a great option for many situations.  In general, cable can support much higher bandwidth speeds and the service radius from the CMTS can be much larger compared to DSL.  Cable modems are typically faster, assuming the cable infrastructure if updated and well-maintained.  However, cable is an RF network and is much more susceptible to transient interference issues within that network.  Also, performance of the network will degrade over time as more users come to the CMTS.

DSL has many merits as well.  Unlike a dedicated line, DSL has a dedicated circuit, which prevents degradation with increased users.  DSL is often found to be more consistent and not prone to interruptions or interference in high traffic times.  Depending on the equipment available in your area, DSL may be a better option for your business.
